Rick Davis Discusses the Importance of Technology in Gaining Visibility into Stores

Dallas, TX (July 5, 2011) – DAVACO, Inc. (, the national leading provider of turnkey retail and restaurant service solutions, announced that the company’s founder and CEO, Rick Davis, recently contributed to an article in Chain Store Age Magazine’s special section on real estate technology and solutions (April/May 2011). In the story, “Know Your Business,” writer Debra Hazel commented on how the “smart companies took the time to invest in technology” during the economic down-turn, and looks to industry experts to uncover the “basic laws of knowledge” that result in “real estate that works.”

Davis, whose company DAVACO Inc., has been executing high-volume programs for retailers and restaurants for over 20 years, understands the unique needs of his clients, especially as it relates to managing a large portfolio of stores and restaurants. In the article, Davis commented that, “understanding each store and its performance metrics is the key to identifying and implementing solutions for retail chains with nationwide reach.” But, as Hazel noted, “few retailers have the manpower and resources to physically be at each store location,” and she highlighted DAVACO and its proprietary technology, ClearThread™, as a resource for retailers to gain the transparency or visibility they need to be assured that the scope of work is being executed properly.

DAVACO specializes in the management and execution of high-volume programs including rollouts, resets, remodels, site surveys and other special initiatives for nationwide retail and restaurant chains. The company designed ClearThread™ to complement its clients’ programs by providing progress reports, before and after photos, signature captures, data collection and other project data in “real time.” DAVACO’s clients can access the information via a secure online portal, so they view the status from any computer—thus eliminating the need to physically travel from site to site.

“What really makes DAVACO different is our nationwide W-2 employee base, our solution-based services and our customer service,” said Davis. “Many of us have been in our clients’ shoes so we understand specific needs and are always looking for innovative ways to better service our clients, and ClearThread is just another example of that commitment.”
